IDP Consult, Inc., among the leading management consultancy firms based in Metro Manila, was formally integrated under the Water and Environment Group of Pöyry last 9 January 2008. With the merging, IDP, now Pöyry-IDP, anticipates a significant expansion of its impact on the water and environment markets across the Asian region.
IDP Consult, which administers professional consulting services in priority development sectors of water supply and sanitation, institutional capacity building, municipal finance, social and urban development, was incorporated in 1996 by senior managers and consulting executives renowned in the fields of accounting, finance, engineering, and water supply and regulation.
To date, IDP has undertaken over 140 technical assistance projects in 30 different countries for its primary clientele consisting of international donors such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the World Bank (WB) and other development institutions.
Pöyry is a global consulting and engineering firm focusing on the energy, forest industry, transport and infrastructure, water and environment sectors. The conglomerate’s net sales in 2006 reached an estimated EUR 620 million, and employs about 7,000 experts across its international offices.
Present during the integration event held at the Richmonde Hotel in Ortigas, Pasig City, were Bernd Kordes, President of Water & Environment Business for Pöyry, and the IDP Board of Directors including Chairperson Edna Balucan and President Evelyn Orda.
